After Park discovered WING through an interview with their CEO, she wrote an article about their activities and built relationships with the women over meals and workshops. Park explains that the central theme of \u003ci\u003eWhistlers\u003c\/i\u003e is the dissolution of internal and external boundaries between the women in order for their friendship to flourish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"min-h-[14px] whitespace-pre-wrap\"\u003eSharing the same name as the exhibition title, \u003ci\u003eWhistlers\u003c\/i\u003e (2023) is a video piece that Park produced in collaboration with the women at a WING workshop. Twelve women stand in a line, continuously whistling as they take turns inhaling and exhaling each other’s breaths. \u003ci\u003eHow to Whistle\u003c\/i\u003e (2024) came from a poem Park wrote in response to this performance, which she then embroidered onto T-shirts donated by her friends. In \u003ci\u003ephwee phwee fweet fweet\u003c\/i\u003e (2024), two actors read aloud six letters Park’s friends wrote to other friends, whispering an emotional intimacy that defies language and logic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"min-h-[14px] whitespace-pre-wrap\"\u003ePark retitled the exhibition to \u003ci\u003eFriends\u003c\/i\u003e for the iteration at KIKA cas, expanding on the concept of friendship between women to examine the close ties between Korea and Japan, as well as between the world and ourselves. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p4\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003e \u003cspan\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBona Park\u003c\/strong\u003e is a Korean artist based in Seoul.
