デザイナー・田中義久とPOST・中島佑介との共同制作による本書は、日本の写真家・ホンマタカシが、エド・ルシェが1960年代から70年代にかけて発表した影響力あるアートブック・シリーズに捧げたオマージュである。本間は、ルシェの著作『Various Small Fires』に見られる象徴的なデザインを再現しつつも、郊外でビニールシートに包まれた様々な車を撮影することで、オリジナルとは一線を画している。
Produced with Yusuke Nakajima and Yoshihisa Tanaka, this is Japanese photographer Takashi Homma's homage to Ed Ruscha's influential series of art books from the '60s and '70s. While recreating Ruscha's iconic design from his publication, Various Small Fires, Homma departs from the original through his photographs of various cars in the suburbs wrapped in tarp.
