This is a Japanese catalog published in conjunction with the traveling exhibition "Man Ray: Unconcerned But Not Indifferent," at the National Museum of Osaka in 2010. Organized in four periods after different cities he lived in, the catalog features a comprehensive overview of his career through photography, painting, and sculpture. The exhibition curators spent over four years looking through the Man Ray Trust collection, culminating in hundreds of new articles that were featured in the exhibitions in Japan, that included sketches, tools, and archival documents. 

本書は、写真、絵画、彫刻における主要作品だけでなく、スケッチ、下絵、道具、アーカイブ資料などを完成作品と並べて展示することで、マン・レイの創作活動の物質的な文脈を浮き彫りにし、彼のキャリアを包括的に概観しています。本展では、私物（彼が所有していた日用品など）、アーティスト・メイドのオブジェやレディメイド、制作素材、エフェメラ（一時的な資料）など、多岐にわたる実物を展示し、初期のアイデアから完成した作品に至るまでの創作プロセスを明らかにしている。
