日本を代表するグラフィック・デザイナー・美術家である横尾忠則のエッセイ集。1970年の１月に交通事故で入院、『死』を意識した横尾は「自由になった快楽から」２年間の休業を宣言。本書は、その休業期間に『芸術生活』にて連載された「イラストレーター休業日記」をまとめたもの。巻末には横尾を写したポートレートが多数掲載され、表紙に使われた篠山紀信の写真のほか、倉橋正（芸術生活）、野瀬拓夫（芸術生活）、馬場祐介、安河内羔治、宮本唯志、横井隆和、森山大道、高梨豊、石黒健治などが撮影しています。
A collection of essays by Japan's famed graphic designer Tadanori Yokoo, made during a two-year hiatus from the height of his success after a car accident in 1970. PUSH collects the essays, sketches, and notes he accumulated during his time outside of his studio. The volume also includes numerous portrait photographs of Yokoo. Cover photograph by Kishin Shinoyama with contributions from Tadashi Kurahashi, Takuo Nose, Yusuke Baba, Koji Yasukochi, Tadashi Miyamoto, Takakazu Yokoi, Daido Moriyama, Yutaka Takanashi, and Kenji Ishiguro.
