An in-depth visual diary documenting the year artist Shinro Otake spent in London between 1977 and 1978, capturing the city through photographs, sketches, paintings, collages, and collected ephemera such as tickets, flyers, wrappers, and matchbooks. The book reconstructs his experience of wandering through a gritty, pre-gentrification London on the eve of punk culture, while also revealing the formative origins of his later artistic practice through obsessive accumulation of images, fragments, and memories.
