Published on the occasion of Korean artist Suh Yongsun's solo exhibition that took place from April to May 2015 at Kumho Museum of Art and Hakgojae Gallery in Seoul. Suh merges traditional Korean and Western styles as a figurative painter and sculptor. In this exhibition, Suh portrays the modern metropolis as a site of tension between rapid urban transformation and the persistence of historical memory, often focusing on marginalized figures and overlooked urban spaces.
