This book is a large-scale exhibition catalog produced in conjunction with the retrospective held at the Odakyu Grand Gallery. Along with representative works from Stieglitz's early Pictorialism to his development into "straight photography," it includes essays explaining his artistic and historical significance, as well as a chronology, introducing his achievements in establishing photography as an art form.
This is a large-format exhibition catalog to accompany Alfred Stieglitz retrospective at Tokyo's Odakyu Grand Gallery from May 17 to June 5, 1985.
