This book introduces the works of 24 Japanese artists living in California, and features approximately 100 pieces of painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, fabric work, and paper work. Many of California's most talented and innovative artists are represented, including internationally acclaimed artists and promising young artists. In visiting many studios and galleries, there were many outstanding artists who were not included in the exhibition, but in order to introduce the selected body of work, the book focuses on the representative aspects of Japanese artists working in California.
