A dictionary is a treasure trove of ideas. If you have something you're familiar with, you can enjoy it all day long. This booklet was born out of this kind of thinking.
Some of the kanji characters are closely related to the pictures, but I tried to avoid pictographs as much as possible and carved the other kanji characters as I thought of them, in a way that would be enjoyable to look at and would not lose their function as characters.
From this book
This is a set of three volumes of the literary doujinshi "Pictai na Kanji," limited to 30 copies: Volume of Heaven, Volume of Earth, and Volume of People.
Each piece is printed by hand, giving it a rustic feel, and the slightly faded ink brings you the joy of printing.
The kanji characters are playfully and strangely arranged, with the meaning of the characters being added as visual decoration or the shapes being rearranged.
