本書は、韓国人アーティスト、イ・ブルが2003年に東京と岡山で開催された日本初個展に併せて刊行された展覧会図録です。ブルはこの展覧会のために「Theatrum Orbis Terrarum（世界の舞台）」と題した新作を発表し、彼女が創造した未来的な「世界」における人類の役割を問いかけました。本書には図版、エッセイ、インタビューが収録されており、身体、テクノロジー、そして死生観といったテーマを通して、彼女の多面的な創作活動を紹介しています。
This is an exhibition catalogue that accompanied Korean artist Lee Bul's first exhibition in Japan at Tokyo and Okayama in 2003. Bul presented a brand new piece for this exhibition entitled Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, questioning the role of humanity within the futuristic "world" that Bul created. The catalogue contains plates, essays, and an interview, offering a multifaceted view of her practice through themes on the body, technology, and mortality.
